Resilience is a much sought after trait.
The term makes its way into the ‘skills needed’ section of job postings and also shows up in executive evaluations. Corporate boards seek CEOs who are resilient. Venture capitalists screen would-be entrepreneurs for resilience as a factor in their decision whether to invest in their company.
And, these days, the political, social and economic environment is so turbulent and fast changing that you are almost guaranteed to ‘fail’ no matter what your ambition or what you are seeking.
And when you ‘fail’ it hurts. It lays you low.
Resilience is your ability to bounce back from that failure, that adversity.
The sooner you do it the better.
And there is tons of evidence to show that folks who are resilient do great things.
Every ‘successful’ person who you can think of has gone through and rebounded from misfortune multiple times and even from catastrophe.
Not some of them. Not many of them. Every single one of them has faced disaster, experienced the lows of despair and resurfaced to do the great things they did.
Resilience is wonderful. It enables you to face a failure and recover.
But you still feel despair and are wounded. It takes time for you to heal and come back.
And that is wasted time. That is time when you are suffering and not at your best.
Conventional wisdom holds that this is inevitable. If you have grand goals and they do not materialize, then it takes time to get back.
This is false.
You can cultivate ‘extreme resilience’. In ‘extreme resilience’ you spring back from a defeat so fast that an external observer may not even know that you had suffered that reversal.
You don’t miss a beat on your journey.
This program teaches you to bring ‘extreme resilience’ into your life. Events that would floor most persons leave little or no impact on you.
And, joy comes creeping into your life as you move to orbits of accomplishment you never dreamed of.
Be warned – the journey to extreme resilience will require you to change how you think about the world and yourself and your role in the world.
This process of changing your mental models can be both terrifying and exhilarating. It is the start of your journey to find great purpose and meaning in your life.
